Amethyst is a powerful and protective stone.  Amethyst is a meditative and calming stone which works in the emotional, spiritual, and physical planes to provide calm, balance, patience, and peace. This stability and strength not only helps one hold firm in one’s life, but it can enhance flexibility and cooperation.

Amethyst is very well known — as from the ancients — as a sobriety stone. It has been used for millenia to prevent drunkenness, and is used to assist in getting rid of addictions to alcohol, drugs, smoking, etc, and destructive compulsive behaviors of all kinds.

Physically amethyst is said by spiritual healers and mystical lore to heal the withdrawal symptoms of any sort of addiction, helps with headaches, insomnia, arthritis, diabetes, pain relief, circulatory system issues, endocrine system problems, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, immune system deficiencies, asthma, phobias, pregnancy and preventing miscarriage, menopause, PMS, and general healing.

Red Bamboo Coral

Coral in general: Coral is used for protection, gives courage and wisdom. It tames the temper: Red Coral is good for helping to “tame” the wildness within such as tempers, rages, and compulsive disorders. Helps to balance us to the spiritual. It is a good stimulant for the root chakra. It protects one from depression and despondency. A good stone to strengthen the bone structure, it does well with mending broken bones.

It carries the sun’s energy, and does very well with the turquoise. Together they carry the energy of moon and sun, and are both balanced in silver settings.

Red Bamboo Coral is still used today as a talisman against evil spirits. It is said to bring luck to the home and used as a protector for those who work on or near the water. Wear it when traveling over water. It is best known for its benefits in stress relief. It stimulates intuition, peace and emotional healing. It can be worn to banish fear, nervousness, anxiety and even nightmares.

Physical Healing Properties: Red bamboo coral was used for centuries to regulate menstrual flow in women. It is used to ease cramps. It enhances fertility. Coral is also beneficial for bone growth and helps those who suffer from arthritis and other bone ailments. It can ease digestive problems, eye problems and blood-circulation disorders.

I’ve written before about Imperial Jasper specifically so today I’ll just mention the healing properties of Jaspers in general:

Jasper is generally known as a nurturing stone. It is considered a Power Stone and a Protection Stone. Jasper gives one the courage to speak out and be independent. Because it is a stone of the earth, it is a very “grounding” stone.

All Jaspers have excellent protective energies, but they do not give the “quick energy lift” that some other stones do. Although it is a power stone, it is also a gentle stone that brings peace, relaxation, tranquility, comfort, a sense of wholeness and healing. Jasper is used to psychically assist with astral travel. In crystal healing, jasper is used for the liver, gallbladder, stomach ailments and balancing male/female, yin/yang energies.

When you think of the phrase “Solid as a Rock” Jasper comes to mind. It is a stone that works slowly, providing constant, slow, deliberate energy, especially good in time of needed change without the chaos a total upheaval would cause. It is a good stone for working with shy or timid people who need change.

Because it is a nurturing stone this makes it a good stone for the healers to use on the behalf of others, such as in counseling or therapy, with addictions or compulsive behavior or when you or others need to gather up strength for the battles ahead. It can align all the chakras and balance yin yang energies and it is stabilizing and healing.

It provides protection from other people, forces and even from yourself! It can keep you from getting carried away, or lead astray, and being diverted from your goals. Jasper helps to give you courage in preparation for conflict, either physical or emotional.

Today I’m showcasing my latest gemstone creations and sharing with you their healing properties. All are available at my store site, Accent Gem Designs.

First up, this fabulous Tiger’s Eye & Blue Aventurine stretch bracelet and earrings set. This may become my new favorite. Tiger’s Eye is known to increase wealth and vitality and attract luck. Historically, Tiger’s Eye has been used in protective medicine. Roman soldiers would wear engraved Tiger’s Eye stones during battle. Physically, healing eye disorders is one of the most common medicinal uses associated with Tiger’s Eye. It can help slow the flow of energy through the body which makes the gem very helpful in stress related illnesses.

Blue Aventurine stimulates creativity, intellect and independence. Aventurine is used to balance the male/female energies, to help reinforce decisiveness, and to supplement greater motivation in all activities. It is especially useful in leadership skills and abilities.

Aventurine is considered a good luck stone, in any color. The blue shade of Aventurine is used in healing and balancing the emotions, helping us to communicate more clearly and creatively. It stimulates creativity, intellect, as well as independence. It is also said to provide patience, eliminate stubbornness, control excitability, and to give one a deeper understanding of the cause and effect in situations, thus allowing one to more completely understand any situation and to assist in finding the optimal solution.

Physically, Aventurine has effectiveness on the adrenal glands, muscular system, connective tissues, and nervous system. Said to be one of the best stones for relief of migraine headaches. It is always helpful with eyes and eyesight.

I think the combination of Tiger’s Eye and Blue Aventurine is quite stunning.

My next creation is another Aventurine and Tiger’s Eye combination. This one uses Green Aventurine (which is known to be the most powerful color in attracting money) as the main focal points with Tiger’s Eye as accent beads.

This might be a stone you’ve never heard of before: Unakite. I wasn’t familiar with it until I saw these beautiful beads. I just had to have them and knew I wanted to make something earthy. This is exclusively Unakite with copper accents.

Unakite is said to lift your spirits when you are feeling down –This is the gemstone to help you to see the beauty in life. It is also used to uncover deception.

This gemstone will help one to maintain a balance between spiritual and physical lives, allowing them to join forces in assisting one to create the life one needs. This is exceptionally important in today’s busy lives because the trials of just getting by can make you feel like you have been deserted by your higher power.

Unakite helps you to move beyond issues from your past that seem to haunt and hold you back from being all you can be. It assists in removing the obstacles that stand in the way of one’s personal growth. It will aid in the release of pain and anger. Fancy Jasper is also known as India Agate. This gemstone is an opaque creamy beige or gray stone with lavender, green, pink, orange or red swirls and specks.
